My First Award!

What a wonderful thing to wake up to here in South Korea. My dear friend Holly on her blog,, gave me the "Nice Matters Award"

“This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends, and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Once you have been awarded, please pass it on to seven others whom you feel are deserving of this award.”

I'm trying to keep a positive spin on life here in South Korea. But like life in general, you have good days and you have bad days. I have had a couple of hard (bad) days and this put a big smile back on my face.

I am thrilled to be able to present the "Nice Matters Award" to the following:

Eva McKinnon, better known as "Stranger in Suwon" who has been very helpful with my transition here in Suwon, South Korea. -

Donna Kato, the one who introduced polymer clay to the masses -

Linda Peterson, a fellow polymer clay designer and friend -

Kevyn Burger, I watched her on the news as a reporter and now she has her own radio show -

The Daily Kimchi, a wealth of great information on South Korea -

Polymer Clay Daily, I'm always trying to aspire to the talent found here -

Craft Sanity, where I can learn so many new crafts -

Aww, what a nice award!

I hope things are going better for you! (I must admit I'm a bit jealous that you get to be in Korea for three years--I have this burning desire to go back with my camera and travel around to all the Buddhist temples and take pictures for a coffee table book. Maybe some day! *sigh*)

Fall is gorgeous! I think the word I used was *heart-achingly* gorgeous. I get flashbacks just from walking past a stand of cosmos flowers in somebody's yard.

Here's a blog by a lady who just moved to China with her family: She had a post on Sept 18th about the process of transition. Might be a good read.
