Entertainment at the Incheon Airport in South Korea

I still found a lot of Korean boyfriends carrying their girlfriend's purses. I'm amazed at her balance in her high heels.

Curt (hubby) happened to get into Incheon Airport a few hours ahead of my sister. I took the airport bus to meet him, have dinner and wait for my sister, niece and cousin. We ended up waiting about three hours for their plane to land, get to a gate and have them clear customs and immigration.

In the Incheon Airport, there are several arrival doorways marked: A, B, C... You look for your flight on a huge board and it will tell you which doorway the passengers will be exiting from. There are bench seats all over each area. We were sitting on benches directly across from the women's bathroom.

I brought my maedeup to work on and was actually facing the bathroom door as I worked. I looked up to see a Korean man walking into the women's bathroom. It took him a good 10-15 seconds to come out with a dazed and confused look. A woman followed him out shortly looking all over for the sign just to confirm that she had been in the right bathroom. I giggled a little but went back to my maedeup.

I looked up a little while later to see the exact thing going on. A Korean man was walking into the women's bathroom. He had the identical look the previous man did. By now, I decided to put aside my knotting and watch the bathroom full time. I told Curt (hubby) what was happened but he wasn't as entertained by it as I was.

Then a third Korea man walked into the women's bathroom. I grabbed Curt's arm and told him to watch the entrance of the women's bathroom. As he came out, I just laughed out loud. I couldn't stop it. People around also started laughing and I don't know if it was at me or if they had been watching like I had.

The most interesting thing I found was that the Korean men went into the bathroom unzipping their fly. Not one waited to get inside the bathroom to do that. I don't know if it's a Korean thing or what. The men were also pretty flustered coming out of the bathroom. This all occurred in the span of about 90 minutes.

This is the men's bathroom which is right next to the women's bathroom.

Another interesting thing I noticed was how the Koreans greet each other. These were Koreans returning from international travel and their loved ones whether it be a mom or dad or even a boyfriend, they did the same thing. Instead of hugging, they put their hand on the returning Koreans face going back and forth from each cheek. I did see one girl who slapped at her boyfriend when he was doing this.

That's too funny. I wonder what it was about that bathroom. Maybe the signs weren't clear enough or something.

I did use the men's bathroom once, in the bus terminal in Puyo. We'd been in a place earlier that day that only had one bathroom, and through a miscommunication were led to believe that the same was true there. Oops.

I'm afraid I would have been right there with you watching the comings and goings of that bathroom! Too Funny!
